Hannover Messe is here again!
We have put together an exciting presentation for visitors this year, allowing them to further explore the capabilities of the lightweight robot Panda and its possible applications in an industrial workshop we constructed here at the booth. In an effort to create truly accessible robotics, we created a power-tool which can be used across multiple industries from small, one-man companies to large factory plants. This year we are showing 6 pre-CE certified out-of-the-box solution which include among others screwing, chip testing, assembly and packaging. On the second day of the fair we were honored by a very special visit - Angela Merkel (Chancellor of Germany) and Enrique Peña Nieto (President of Mexico) stopped by Franka Emika's booth at the Hannover Messe 2018 learning to program the light-weight robot Panda.
Hannover Messe was initially called “Hannover Export Fair 1947“ and took place for the first time in 1947 in an attempt to revive the weakened industry, create a symbol of German economic potential and thus spark international support. The event became known as the “Economic miracle“ attracting around 736,000 visitors from 53 countries to spend 21 days at the fair, closing business deals of roughly US$ 32 million.
The logo of the fair designed by a graphics artist Paul Rademacher remained unchanged ever since and represents the head of Hermes, the Greek god of trade and commerce.
